Personality: Ukraine is a very caring big sister to Russia and Belarus, and she spent her life raising the two of them and helped them grow. She's best described as sensitive and fragile, her feelings are very delicate and easily get hurt. Ukraine is usually tearful and cries easily — most nations have to tip toe their way around her. In fact, she cries so easily and apologizes so much she may possibly be a bit unstable, although she gets upset often — Ukraine is not weak. When raising her siblings, she was very determined and had to do her best to protect them from any danger. Ukraine is a very hard worker and is good at what she does.
Towards other nations, Ukraine is seen by the other nations as kind and shy with a large heart. Truthfully, it may possibly be that Ukraine is so easily upset because she's always in some sort of crisis and is very poor. When talking she usually stutters and speaks with little confidence in herself and gets nervous easily. Ukraine is very sweet, thoughtful and caring when she's not being intimidated by the other nations. When she has the money to buy the right equipment, Ukraine is good at making clothes and accessories such as the scarf that Russia is always wearing. It is slightly hinted that she also has romantic feelings for her younger brother just like Belarus does, although hers are not possessive or noticeable.
Since Ukraine has spent so many years raising her siblings, she is a very motherly nation towards others and has a great maternal instincts. Like her younger brother Russia, she is a country girl at heart and sometimes works hard in the fields to earn her own money. Even though she comes off as weak and pathetic, Ukraine is very strong and brave when she needs to be. Most of the time she seems cowardly which could be the opposite if someone she cares about is in danger. When she isn't being depressed or apologizing, Ukraine can be cheerful around those who treat her kindly, and overly generous with love.
In the anime, she is best known for having large breasts that make sound effects every time she walks around. Some people may only like Ukraine for the shallow reason that her chest is so large, ignoring her good personality. She fears this, which may also be why she is so low on self confidence. Unlike her brother, Ukraine is probably not the type to get drunk off of alcoholic drinks and have fun in such ways. Her idea of fun is just quiet, peaceful and spending time with those who she loves to be around and won't judge her.

After class she was going to be starting a new job, since the last one she worked at they fired her for not trying hard enough... Well, no. It wasn't that she wasn't trying it was just that Ukraine didn't reach their standards. So much was weighting on her mind for such an early hour of the day, she could feel her eyes getting swollen with tears and starting to burn. Then suddenly out of no where it would seem — WHOOOSH! The wind came by with a hard gust that blew her umbrella away from her.
"H-hey! Come back!" Ukraine called out to the umbrella, as if it would stop from her yelling at it. Running after it through the neighborhood is when it got caught it a tree, out of her reach. She finally caught up to catch it, frowning to see her umbrella in the tree, but suddenly. Her heart stopped and her face became pale. What was that in the wires? Ukraine was a bit too scared to check, but curiosity killed the cat when she saw what looked like hair. Soon enough she got a full sight and let out a loud shriek. It was a human body in the telephone wires!!
